Velavan Sentilkumar from India won the men’s title in a tough final match against the second seed, Joseph White from Australia. The scores were 11-18, 11-9, 2,11, and 11-3. What’s even more impressive is that Velavan didn’t lose a single game in the three rounds leading to the final.
Akansha Salunkhe
On the women’s side, Akansha Salunkhe, a well-known Indian squash player, faced a tough challenge to win the women’s title. She had to compete against her fellow Indian player Tanvi Khanna, who had won the championship just a week earlier. Akansha fought hard and eventually won with a score of 9-11, 12,10, 8-11, 11,8 and a very close 13-11 in a match that lasted nearly an hour.
