The Indian men’s names Anas, Amoj, Rajesh Ramesh and Muhammed Ajmal did a brilliant performance in the finals, finishing second and setting a new Asian Record in the M 4X400m Relay. Storming for World Championship Finals
The Indian athlete’s men’s 4x400m relay team achieved something amazing at the World Athletics Championships on August 26. They broke the Asian record by running really fast in the heats, finishing in just 2 minutes and 59.05 seconds. This put them in second place, just a little behind the USA, which holds the world record.
The Indian athlete’s team had four strong runners: Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal Variyathodi, and Rajesh Ramesh. Their performance was not just good for a moment; it was even better than the old Asian record of 2:59.51 set by Japan. And it’s a big improvement from India’s previous national record of 3:00.25, which they achieved in 2021.
Other countries
The USA is really good at running, but they only finished a bit faster with a time of 2:58.47. The Indian team did better than strong countries like Great Britain and Jamaica, who finished in 2:59.42 and 2:59.82 respectively.
Now, there’s an exciting final race on August 27 (Sunday). The Indian relay team is in great shape, so we’re hopeful they might even win a medal.
As everyone waits for the final race, the Indian team isn’t just competing against other teams – they’re also competing against history. They’re aiming to make a new record and show that they’re the best in relay races.
